Despite being a solar energy generation hub in the country, the component manufacturing industry has not taken off in Rajasthan. Recently, Renew Power signed an agreement with the state government to set up a solar panel manufacturing unit in Mahindra World City. Insolation Energy is another company which has been manufacturing modules in the state.
