TCIL Floats Tender for a 2 MW Floating Solar Project in Mauritius

Telecommunications Consultants India (TCIL) has invited bids to establish a 2 MW floating solar photovoltaic project at the Tamarind Falls Reservoir, Mauritius.

The last date to submit the bids is July 24, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.

The scope of work covers the design, engineering, procurement, supply, construction, testing, and commissioning of the solar project on a turnkey basis. It will also include designing and constructing a control room (CMCS) building.

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of MUR290,000 (~$6,141.22), valid for 210 days as a bank guarantee issued by an overseas bank from India or a commercial bank operating in Mauritius or in the form of a banker’s cheque.

They must have experience in any of the following:

The average annual financial turnover of the bidders during the last three financial years should be at least $500,000.

Their net worth should be positive as of March 31 of the last financial year. They should have had a profit before tax in two of the previous three financial years.

In June, TCIL invited bids to select consortium partners for a 23 MW grid-connected solar project for Western Coalfields in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
