NTPC Subsidiary Invites Bids for 1.6 MW of Rooftop Solar Projects in Telangana

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has invited bids from empaneled contractors to install 1,562 kW of grid-connected rooftop solar power projects in Telangana for the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

The projects must be installed within three months of receiving the work order.

The selected bidder must handle operations and maintenance duties for ten years.

The last date to submit the bids is June 27, 2024. Bids will be opened the next day.

All bids must be accompanied by a bid security amount of ₹1 million (~$11,990).

The selected bidder must furnish a performance bank guarantee equivalent to 10% of the contract price within twenty-eight days of award notification.

The average annual turnover of the bidders should not be less than ₹69.2 million (~$829,761) during the last three financial years.

Their net worth as of the last day of the preceding financial year should not be less than 100% of their paid-up share capital.

The contractor must use 540 Wp modules, which are included in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers notified by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. The modules should have an efficiency of 20% and carry a five-year warranty.

Modules used must be warranted for their output peak watt capacity, which should not be less than 90% at the end of ten years and 80% at the end of 25 years.

Recently, NVVN invited bids for enlisting engineering, procurement, and construction vendors to develop rooftop and ground-mounted solar systems with an aggregate capacity of 20 MW.

Earlier, NVVN invited bids to set up 1.3 MW of rooftop solar power projects across three locations in two campuses of the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow and the National Institute of Defence Estates Management in Delhi.
