Ladakh Power Department Floats Tender for 2.6 MW Rooftop Solar Projects

Ladakh Power Development Department (LPDD) has invited bids for the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of 2.632 MW grid-connected solar power systems on government buildings, in the Kargil District, Union Territory of Ladakh.

The scope of work includes comprehensive maintenance of the systems for five years.

The last date to submit the bids is July 15, 2024. Bids will be opened the next day.

LPDD aims to choose solar EPC contractors experienced in executing solar projects.

Bidders must pay ₹25,000 (~$299.43) as the cost of the bidding document and ₹2.5 million (~$29,942) as the earnest money deposit.

The final capacity to be installed will be determined after the site survey and capacity assessment report.

The successful bidder must visit the government buildings identified for installing the rooftop solar projects.

The project’s Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) will remain consistent throughout the performance warranty period. The specified annual CUF must be at least 13.5%.

Bidders must have experience in designing, supplying, installing, and commissioning grid-connected solar projects with a cumulative capacity of at least 50% of the 2.628 MW in the last seven financial years.

These solar power projects must have been commissioned and operating for at least one year.

Bidders should have a minimum net worth of ₹65 million (~$778,549) as of the last date of the financial year 2023-24.

Their minimum average annual turnover should be ₹87 million (~$1.04 million) during the last three financial years.

Recently, SECI invited bids for the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and operation and maintenance of a 25 MW solar power project with a 20 MW/50 MWh battery energy storage system in Leh, Ladakh.
